Welcome. I'm glad you are here. I'm Sarah (she/her) and I am a licensed professional counselor.
I provide individual mental health therapy by telehealth (in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, and Florida) for adults, specializing in therapy for therapists and healthcare workers, women's health issues, anxiety, and OCD. Â

You matter and you have value, simply by existing. I hope to walk with you in emphasizing this belief in yourself.Â
"Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here."
- Max Ehrmann, "Desiderata"
Psychotherapy with Sarah
Warmth, empathy, and compassion for the human experience are fundamental to my work with each individual. I consider myself a relational therapist, focusing on trust, respect, and unconditional positive regard within the therapy space. With over 10 years of counseling experience, I am fluent in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and iCBT (Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Additionally, I have training in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). I also conduct therapy through a trauma informed lens.Â

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. Please email me (srizzopsych@therapyemail.com) and I will contact you to schedule. I am also happy to answer additional questions about my education, skills, training, and professional affiliations.Â
